Sign in to Google Ads:

Navigate to Audience Manager:

  • In the left-hand menu, click on “Tools & Settings” (wrench icon) and select “Audience Manager” under the “Shared Library” section.

Choose Audience Source:

  • Click on the “+ Audience List” button to create a new audience. Select the type of audience you want to create:
    • Website Visitors: Create an audience based on people who visited your website.
    • Customer List: Upload a list of email addresses or phone numbers to target specific customers.
    • App Users: Target users who have interacted with your mobile app.
    • YouTube Users: Target users based on their interaction with your YouTube content.
    • Similar Audiences: Reach people similar to your existing customers.

Configure Audience Details:

  • Depending on the audience source selected, configure the details such as website visitors’ criteria, customer list details, app user parameters, etc.

Set Audience Membership Duration:

  • Define how long someone stays in your audience after meeting the criteria. Choose a membership duration that aligns with your advertising goals.

Create and Save the Audience:

  • After configuring the details, click on the “Create Audience” or “Save” button to save your audience.

Apply Audience to Campaigns:

  • Once your audience is saved, you can apply it to specific campaigns or ad groups. During the campaign setup, look for the targeting options where you can select the audience you created.

Adjust Bids for Targeted Audiences (Optional):

  • Consider adjusting your bids for the selected audience to prioritize reaching specific groups more effectively.

Monitor and Optimize:

  • Regularly monitor the performance of your ads targeting specific audiences. Adjust your audience settings or targeting criteria based on performance data.
